Upon successful completion of the final assessment, the graduate receives standard-form documents certifying the award of a bachelor degree in Philology, with the educational qualification of bachelor of arts in philology, specializing in eastern languages and literatures (including translation), with turkish as the primary language.

Communicate fluently on professional matters with specialists and non-specialists in Ukrainian, Turkish, and English, both orally and in writing, and use these skills to facilitate effective intercultural communication. LO 2. Work effectively with information: select necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases; critically analyze and interpret it; organize, classify, and systematize it. LO 3. Organize one’s own learning and self-education. LO 4. Understand the fundamental principles of human existence, nature, and society. LO 5. Examination regulations and grading scale

The assessment system consists of: 1. Formative assessment (quizzes, tests, independent work, and presentations). 2. Modular assessment (assessment of knowledge after completing individual sections of the syllabus). 3. Semester assessment (midterm or final exam according to the schedule and syllabus). The exam format, test structure, and grading criteria are specified in the syllabus and announced at the beginning of the course. The final assessment also includes a comprehensive exam and the defense of the bachelor’s thesis. The final grade for the course is calculated on a 100-point scale according to the form of semester assessment: Exam: the maximum number of points is 100, of which up to 60 points are awarded for performance during the semester and up to 40 points for performance during the exam session. Test: the final grade is calculated as the sum of points for in-class work (maximum 80 points) and the results of the test (maximum 20 points).

Оbligatory or optional mobility windows (if applicable)

Through the EU’s Erasmus+ international exchange program, the Mevlana program, short-term educational projects (Summer and Winter Schools), as well as through the implementation of direct bilateral cooperation agreements concluded between Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and higher education institutions in partner countries.

Work placement

1. Internship sites, in accordance with signed bilateral agreements: V.I. Vernadsky Taurida National University; the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol; “Master of Books” LLC, etc. 2. The curriculum requires students to complete a communicative (work-based) internship in the eighth semester as a mandatory component of the educational program, separate from theoretical studies 3. Students who are unable to begin their translation internship on time due to illness or other objective factors are granted the right to reschedule it without interrupting their studies.

Occupational profiles of graduates

A Bachelor of Philology can work in academic, literary, publishing, and educational fields; in print and electronic media, and PR agencies; in various Ukrainian and international humanitarian foundations, associations, and organizations, as well as in museums, art, and cultural centers, and so on. Knowledge of Turkish and English opens up employment opportunities in various sectors of the economy where services such as translation, analysis, creation, summarization, and editing of texts in Turkish and English are required, as well as in the fields of tourism, logistics, and international trade; and in radio and television broadcasting. Graduates can conduct literary analysis, translate and adapt literary works, and create content for the internet in Turkish and English.
