Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know:
1) the basic principles of psychology and foreign language teaching methodologies.
Be able to:
1) analyze foreign and domestic technologies (methods, techniques, and tools) for developing linguistic competence in students at general education institutions.
Possess:
1) skills in independent analysis and information retrieval regarding the effective use of modern concepts in foreign language teaching, as well as the ability to characterize their essence and principles.
Course content
The course «Linguistic and Pedagogical Foundations of Teaching Turkish» is part of the elective block «Linguistics and Translation» and is taught in the fifth semester of the bachelor’s program, in accordance with the curriculum of the educational and professional program «Turkish Language and Literature and Translation, English Language».
The course is both theoretical and practical in nature and helps future Turkish language teachers gain the practical experience necessary for their future professional careers. The content of this course, first, provides future specialists with knowledge of the strategic directions of development in modern school foreign language education, as well as modern methods and technologies for teaching foreign languages; second, encourages higher education students to engage in creative activities during the theoretical and practical learning process, and third, provides an opportunity to broaden the scope of future Turkish language teachers’ work by applying the knowledge and skills they have acquired.
Classes are conducted in the form of lectures and seminars in Ukrainian. The course is taught over one semester and concludes with a final exam.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, an assessment of theoretical training, which accounts for 50% of the total grade, and an assessment of practical training, which accounts for 50% of the total grade.
Assessment of semester work:
1. Answers at seminars: 15 - 20 points.
2. Blitz survey: 6 - 10 points.
3. Report: 3 - 10 points.
4. Modular control work №1: 12 - 20 points.
5. Modular control work №2: 12 - 20 points.
5. Credit: 12 - 20 points.
