Learning outcomes
LO1. Communicate fluently on professional matters with specialists and non-specialists in Ukrainian, Turkish, and English, both orally and in writing, and use these skills to facilitate effective intercultural communication. LO4. Understand the fundamental principles of human existence, nature, and society. LO5. Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, and people with different political views, etc. LO9. Characterize the dialectal and social varieties of the Turkish language and describe the sociolinguistic situation.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: 1) the major historical figures and key events in the history of Ukraine. Be able to: 1) identify the outcomes and consequences of the most significant events in the history of Ukraine. Possess basic skills: 1) in working with educational materials.
Course content
Familiarization with the periodization of Turkish history. Study of ethnic and cultural characteristics of Turkey. Identification of trends and dynamics of Turkey's development. Disclosure of the main events and main phenomena of socio-political, socio-economic, cultural and spiritual life of Turkey. Study of the activities of the main actors in Turkish history. Clarification of Turkey's role in world and regional history. Determining the influence of the world's leading countries on Turkish politics. Coverage of Turkey's foreign and domestic policies and the circumstances of their formation. Analysis of Turkey's foreign economic activity. Tracing the evolution of the country's social system and the transformation of the political system of the state. A look at the "image" of Turkey abroad. The aim of the course is to provide students with a systematic understanding of the characteristics of Turkey’s development, the transformation of its social and political systems, the dynamics of its internal development, and the patterns of its foreign policy.

Evaluation of semester work: 1. - Control work 1, (test): 4 - 6 points. - Control work 2 (test): 4 - 6 points. 2. - Essay 1: 3 - 4 points. - Essay 2: 3 - 4 points. 3. - Work during seminars of 1 WM: 11 - 20 points. - Work during seminars of the 2nd semester: 11 - 20 points.
