Know: 1) modern methods and techniques for using ICT in various areas of professional translation; 2) computer technologies at the level of a proficient user. Be able to: 1) use specialized software and cloud technologies in translation work; 2) successfully integrate ICT into the professional practice of a translator. Competencies: 1) modern methods and techniques for the effective use of ICT in translation practice.

The nature of the modern translation industry requires future professionals to possess not only in-depth linguistic knowledge but also a high level of technological literacy. The comprehensive course Translation (Turkish) Part 2. Information Technology in Translation (Eastern Languages) teaches students to effectively integrate specialized digital tools into their work, which has become a fundamental indicator of a translator’s professional competence. Within this educational component, special attention is paid to the applied aspect: students master algorithms for working with computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools, learn to manage terminology databases, and use cloud-based translation platforms to optimize workflows. The course is included in the list of required components of the educational program “Turkish Language and Literature and Translation, English Language” (specialization 035.068 Philology). The curriculum provides for 120 hours, of which 60 hours are allocated to practical training and 60 hours to independent study. The course is divided into two content modules, and final assessment is conducted in the form of a test.
