Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know:
1) the grammatical forms and lexical items covered in the first-year curriculum.
Be able to:
1) successfully complete the courses “Turkish Language” (first year) and “Turkish Linguistics and Cultural Studies.”
Possess basic skills:
1) in language and communication competence corresponding to level A2.
Course content
The main types of speech activities in Turkish are developed: reading, speaking, writing and listening. Students' communicative language competencies are developed: perception and understanding of elementary listening discourse, ability to communicate on topics defined by the program, text comprehension and ability to reproduce what they have read. Students improve writing and reading skills that meet the requirements of an intermediate level of foreign language proficiency. The ability to use the theoretical aspect of grammar material in practical application is developed.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, an assessment of theoretical training, which accounts for 50% of the total grade, and an assessment of practical training, which accounts for 50% of the total grade.
Semester II:
1. Work in practical classes: 24 - 40 points.
2. Home reading: 4 - 10 points.
3. Module test №1: 10 - 15 points.
4. Module test № 2: 10 - 15 points.
5. Exam: 24 - 40 points.
