Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know:
1) the grammatical structure of the Turkish language, basic terms in the field of linguistics in Turkish, and the stages of development of the Turkish language;
2) practical knowledge of grammatical constructions and word-formation rules in Turkish;
3) the basic rules of phonetics, and the law of vowel and consonant harmony in Turkish.
Be able to:
1) perform phonetic and morphological analysis, as well as analysis of grammatical structures in the Turkish language.
Possess:
1) skills in independently analyzing the morphological and syntactic structure of the Turkish language, searching for specialized information, and the ability to characterize the essence and principles of word formation, the creation of complex syntactic units, and grammatical structures.
Course content
The course «Theoretical Grammar of Turkic Languages (Morphology)» is the second part of the comprehensive course «General Theoretical Course in Turkic Languages». It is included in the list of required courses and is taught in the sixth semester of the bachelor’s program, in accordance with the curriculum of the educational and research program «Turkish Language and Literature and Translation, English Language». The course is an integral part of developing the professional competence of future specialists in the field of Turkish philology. This course builds upon the foundation laid by other courses (the multi-semester course Turkish Language» and the comprehensive course «General and Specialized Linguistics»); its goal is to deepen students’ knowledge of the morphological structure of the modern Turkish language. The course aims to familiarize students with the main theoretical terms and concepts of this course, as well as the morphological and word-formation system of the Turkish language. This course is designed to develop students’ theoretical and hypothetical thinking and to foster practical language proficiency. The course is taught through lectures and seminars in both Ukrainian and Turkish. It is taught over one semester and concludes with a credit.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, an assessment of theoretical training, which accounts for 50% of the total grade, and an assessment of practical training, which accounts for 50% of the total grade.
Assessment of semester work:
1. Answer at the seminar: 24 - 40 points.
2. Report-analysis of scientific literature: 14 - 20 points.
3. Control work: 10 - 20 points.
4. Final control work: 12 - 20 points.
