LO 4. Understand the fundamental principles of human existence, nature, and society. LO 5. Collect, analyze, organize, and interpret facts about language and speech, and use them to solve complex tasks and problems in specialized areas of professional practice and education.

Full-time form

1.Know: 1) the main precedent facts (events, texts, artifacts, personalities) related to important historical events, geographical location, culture, customs and traditions of the Turkish people; be able to: 2) analyze relevant (discrete) cultural and linguistic aspects that define the Turkish language speakers; use the acquired knowledge in practice. 2.Possess elementary skills: 1) linguistic and country analysis of realities representing the linguistic and cultural achievements of the Turkish people; 2) cognitive and professional activities; 3) processing large text blocks; 4) rational culture of thinking, generalization of new information; 5) mastery of the culture of thinking, knowledge of its general laws, ethical assessments and tastes, norms of verbal and non-verbal behavior, comprehensive development of students' linguistic and country studies competence.

The discipline «Linguistic and Country Studies of Turkey» introduces students to the linguistic realities of country studies, which are associated with the most important historical events, cultural, historical and social associations. Particular attention is paid to the in-depth study of linguistic realities related to geographical concepts, peculiarities of national culture, social and political life, traditions and customs of native speakers. The academic discipline «Linguistic and Country Studies of Turkey» is the professional basis for the comprehensive training of the field of knowledge 03 «Humanities» of the direction of study 035.068 «Philology (Oriental Languages and Literatures (translation inclusive), first - Turkish». Classes are held in the form of lectures and practical classes. The course ends with a midterm in the first semester and an exam in the second semester. The aim of the course is to outline the development of a body of knowledge regarding the sociocultural context in which the Turkish language functions, both synchronically and diachronically; to elucidate the background knowledge possessed by native speakers of Turkish; and the causal context of the development of precedent-based discourse at the event-based, historical, and anthroponymic levels to lay the foundation for the necessary professional competencies of students, future specialists in international communication capable of solving complex specialized tasks and practical problems, and implementing effective communication strategies in the processes of international communication.

Lectures, seminars, and individual work.

Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes, which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training, which accounts for 60% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: Part 1: Module 1: 1.Answer at the seminar (5 classes): 15 points. 2. Work at lectures (4 classes): 15 points. 3. Modular control work: 10 points. Part 2. Module 2: 1.Answer in the seminar class (5 classes): 15 points. 2. Work at lectures (3 classes): 15 points. 3. Modular control work: 10 points. 4. Final control work: 20 points.
