Knowledge:
1) successful completion of the specialized courses in the interdisciplinary program «History of Turkish Literature», specifically «Folklore and Ancient Turkish Literature», «Divan Literature», «Folk Literature», and «Tanzimat Literature»;
2) successful mastery of basic theoretical and literary concepts.
Be able to:
1) use theoretical concepts to analyze literary works.
Possess:
1) oral and written Turkish language skills sufficient to meet basic communication needs.
Course content
The course "Literary Movements of Serveti Funun and Fecri Ati" introduces students to the basic and conceptual foundations of the Turkic literary process of the late XIX - early XX centuries and the peculiarities of analyzing the works of art by Turkish writers of the literary movements of Serveti Funun and Fecri Ati. The content of the proposed course includes a brief summary of the history of the literary process in the territory of modern Turkey during the Zulum period, familiarization with the specific features of literary development in the late XIX - early XX centuries.
This course is a part of the comprehensive discipline "History of Turkish Literature", so it helps to form a holistic view of the development of Turkish literature. The discipline is taught in a set of lectures (12 hours) and seminars (12 hours) and on the basis of independent study (36 hours) of methodological materials, and the course ends with a test.
