Course content
The comprehensive course «General Theoretical Course in Turkic Languages. Part 7. Theoretical Grammar of Turkic Languages (Syntax)» is included in the list of required courses and is taught in the seventh semester of the bachelor’s program - in accordance with the curriculum of the educational and research program «Turkish Language and Literature and Translation, English Language». The course is an integral part of developing the professional competence of future specialists in the field of Turkish philology. This course builds upon the foundations laid by other courses (the multi-semester course «Turkish Language», «Part 6. Theoretical Grammar of Turkic Languages (Morphology)», «History of the Turkish Language»), and its goal is to deepen knowledge of the structure of micro- and macrosyntactic constructions and the specifics of punctuation in modern Turkish. The course aims to develop a systematic understanding of the structure of the Turkish language at the syntactic level, to foster the skills and abilities for syntactically correct spoken and written language, and to lay the groundwork for language self-improvement necessary for effective participation in communicative processes and translation. The course is taught over one semester and concludes with an exam.
