Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge: 1) Successful mastery of specialized subjects during previous semesters. Skills: 1) Adequate command of the material in the areas of morphology, grammar, and syntax of modern Turkish at the B1 level. Competence: 1) The ability to freely express one’s point of view orally and in writing at the B1 level.
Course content
Knowledge in the areas of taxis, syntax, and morphology of the modern Turkish language is systematized. Considerable attention is paid to the systematization of knowledge, consolidation of previously learned grammatical phenomena on a wider lexical material. Complex cases of use of lexical and grammatical constructions are also studied. Particular attention is paid to the in-depth mastery of Turkish for special professional purposes in the future professional activities of translators. The development of practical skills is carried out by selecting the optimal forms and types of classes that are as close as possible to the future activities of translators. The aim of the course is to develop students’ - future professionals’ - language proficiency in accordance with their field of study; to ensure that students gain practical mastery of various types of language use, that is, to enable them to freely engage in both spoken dialogue and monologue within the topics covered throughout the course; reading and understanding unadapted texts in scientific, literary, and journalistic styles; the program is designed to prepare students with regard to the communicative needs of their future careers.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, an assessment of theoretical training, which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and an assessment of practical training, which accounts for 60% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: Module II: 1. Work in practical classes: 2 - 36 points. 2. Home reading: 3 - 6 points. 3. Module test: 5 - 10 points. 4. Exam: 24 - 40 points.
