Programme learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non-experts in Ukrainian and foreign languages (English and German / French / Spanish / Italian / Portuguese), in oral and written forms, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyse and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 3. Organize self-learning and self-education process. PLO 4. Understand the fundamental principles of human, nature and society genesis. PLO 5. Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, supporters of different political views, etc. PLO 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and issues of professional activity. PLO 7. Understand the major issues of philology and approaches to solving those using relevant methods and innovative approaches. PLO 8. Know and understand the system of language, the general properties of literature as the art of word, the history of English and German / French / Spanish / Italian / Portuguese, and literature, be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 9. Characterize dialect and social varieties of English and German / French / Spanish / Italian / Portuguese, describe the sociolinguistic situation. PLO 10. Know the rules of standard language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian, English and German / French / Spanish / Italian / Portuguese. PLO 12. Analyse language units, determine their interaction, and characterize linguistic phenomena and the underlying processes. PLO 13. Analyse and interpret works of Ukrainian and English fiction and oral folk art, to determine their particularities and place in the literary process. PLO 14. Use English and German / French / Spanish / Italian / Portuguese in oral and written form, in different genre and style varieties and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), for solving communicative tasks in everyday, public, educational, professional and academic spheres of life. PLO 15. Perform linguistic, literary and translation analysis of texts of different styles and genres. PLO 16. Know and understand basic terms, theories and tenets of translation studies, be able to apply the knowledge in professional activities. PLO 17. Collect, analyse, systematize and interpret language and speech facts and use them to solve complex problems and tasks in specialized fields of professional activity and / or training. PLO 18. Have the skills to manage complex activities or projects in solving complicated problems in professional activity in translation and be responsible for making decisions under unpredictable conditions. PLO 19. Have the skills of participation in academic and / or applied research in the domain of philology. PLO 20 Translate English written and oral texts into Ukrainian and from Ukrainian into English. PLO 21 Know the approaches to evaluating and ensuring the quality of copywriting, rewriting and speechwriting. PLO 22 Ability to edit and correct texts of various styles and genres in Ukrainian and English. PLO 23 Make, edit and translate written and oral texts of political or business discourse (Ukrainian and English).

Forms of assessment: Current control: written tests, oral questioning, intermediate tests, essays, presentations of individual and team projects, colloquia. Final control: examinations (written, oral, mixed form, in the form of a test), tests, differentiated tests, final exams, qualification work. Grading scale: Pass/fail: 60-100 Not credited: 0-59 Compliance with academic integrity by students involves: ▪️ independent performance of educational tasks, tasks of current and final control of learning outcomes; ▪️ references to sources of information when using ideas, developments, statements, information; ▪️ providing reliable information about the results of their own educational (scientific, creative) activities, research methods and sources of information.
