Learning outcomes
PLO 11 Know the principles, technologies and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian and English. PLO 20 Translate English written and oral texts into Ukrainian and from Ukrainian into English. PLO 22 Ability to edit and correct texts of various styles and genres in Ukrainian and English.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student successfully mastered the courses Introduction to General Linguistics,Introduction to Translation Studies,Practical Course of English (1st, 2nd semester),Linguistic Country Studies of English-speaking Countries; knows the theoretical foundations of general linguistics, the basic categories of translation studies, and the principles of written and oral translation; has the state language (not lower than C2) and English (not lower than B2), basic skills in using innovative technologies in the process of translation activities.
Course content
The purpose of the educational discipline "Written Translation of Business Texts" is to form the basic knowledge and skills necessary for adequate written translation taking into account the lexical and grammatical differences of languages, practical skills of adequate written translation of business texts taking into account their inherent linguistic and stylistic features, practical skills of professional translation analysis of the text, determining the optimal translation strategy based on the analysis and creating an adequate written translation, taking into account the communicative-pragmatic effect, emotional-aesthetic impact and ethno-cultural specificity of the original work. Training takes place on the basis of the main provisions of the communicative approach with the use of authentic materials and modeling of real communicative situations. Training is conducted in the form of practical classes and independent work of students. At the end of the semester there is a credit.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Educational activities during the semester: tasks performed in the process of independent work; semester control - written assignments; answer in practical classes; projects, presentations.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning material from all course topics and performing independent and individual tasks and group types of work. The sum of points for systematic work during the semester: Oral answer in practical classes 20 points; Written assignment 20 points; Individual task 10 points; Group project 10 points; Control works/tests 20 points; Final control work 20 points. The semester final grade is formed by the points received by the student in the process of performing the declared types and forms of study, and the points received for the final test. The maximum distribution is carried out according to the following algorithm: semester test: 80 points (80%) and final test - 20 points (20%). The minimum number of points is 60 points.
