Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non-experts in Ukrainian and English in oral and written forms, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 14. Use English in oral and written form, in different genre and style varieties and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), for solving communicative tasks in everyday, public, educational, professional and academic spheres of life.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting this course, students should know the functional load of emotional and expressive vocabulary, stylistically marked vocabulary and vocabulary of limited use, the specifics of the interaction of linguistic and non-linguistic factors. Be able to analyze various communicative situations, identify potentially conflicting areas of communication, determine the communicative functions of interlocutors. Possess elementary skills of regulated behavior, think critically and determine the basis of cultural concepts, unified parts of the Ukrainian tradition and correlate it with the traditions of different peoples.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to promote the development of elite speaking skills and abilities, mastery of the highest level of speaking skills for the formation of the necessary professional competencies of students, future lexicographers, capable of solving complex specialized tasks and practical problems of multifaceted communication. The discipline "Speech etiquette" is a component of the complex discipline "Applied Linguistics". The educational discipline "Speech etiquette" studies the conceptual boundaries of the concepts "Etiquette", "Distance communication", "Intercultural communication", their social significance, problems of interdependence and mutual influence. The subject of the academic discipline is the study of speech etiquette in harmony with language skills and etiquette behavior. The practical implementation of the course is aimed at developing skills for successful implementation of communicative tasks in the correct form.

Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, evaluation is carried out in accordance with the types of work and the form of control described in clause 7.1. The semester evaluation forms the midterm control score. Current monitoring is based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. The points received in the discipline are transferred in the percentage equivalent (20% of the points received - from the maximum number of 100 points - 20 points) to the formation of the total score for the semester of the next part of the complex / multi-semester discipline ("Ethnolinguistics" for the complex discipline "Applied Linguistics" ). Final assessment: none.
