Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting this course, students should know: basics of philosophy, Ukrainian and foreign culture; specifics of socio-political studies. Possess the skills of analysis, synthesis, processing and visualization of statistical data, calculation of quantitative indicators, working with the legal framework and internal documents of the enterprise; elementary skills of using Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
Course content
The purpose is to form modern managerial thinking and a system of special knowledge in the field of management in future specialists; assimilation of basic theoretical principles by students, development of basic practical skills of analytical and management activities. The discipline is focused on the formation of students' ability to identify management tasks in organizations of various types, using a wide range of methods and tools. It is planned to consider the essence of the concept of management; laws and national features of management; theories, concepts, schools, modern concepts, functional areas of management; essence and types of planning in management; stages of organizational design; classification of organizational structures and methods of their construction; motivation and stimulation; substantive and procedural theories of motivation; the concept and content of control in management; management, power and leadership as management tools.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Verbal, visual, interactive and practical teaching methods: lecture, seminar class, independent work. Educational activities during the semester: independent work; oral answers and additions at seminar classes, participation in the discussion; blitz survey; essay; individual and group tasks; tests
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom and independent work (min / max): oral answer - 8 / 12 points; additions, participation in the discussion - 10 / 20 points; blitz survey - 8 / 12 points; essay – 8/12 points; defense of independent works - 8 / 14 points; execution and protection of individual and group tasks - 10 / 16 points; tests - 8 / 14 points. The maximum number of points is 100 points; minimum - 60 points. • Final assessment: credit. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who scored a total of less than 60 points during the semester must process the material on the topics for which the debt arose, in the form of performing and defending relevant thematic works and/or additional creative-analytical, research tasks, in order to pass the credit.
