Individuals with a complete general secondary education are accepted to study for a bachelor's degree on a competitive basis, regardless of the sources of funding for studies. Competitive selection is carried out based on the results of an external independent assessment of three competitive subjects defined by the Rules of Admission to Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University

Programme learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in the state, Polish, English and Lithuanian languages orally and in writing, use them to organize effective intercultural communication.
PLO 2. Effectively work with information: select the necessary information from various sources, in particular from specialized literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it.
PLO 3. To organize the process of one's education and self-education.
PLO 4. To understand the fundamental principles of human existence, nature, and society.
PLO 5. Cooperate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, adherents of different political views, etc.
PLO 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and problems of professional activity.

PLO 9. Characterize the dialectal and social varieties of the Polish, English and Lithuanian languages, describe the sociolinguistic situation.
PLO 10. Know the norms of the literary language and be able to apply them in practical activities.
PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and methods of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in the state, Polish, English and Lithuanian languages.
PLO 12. Analyze linguistic units, determine their interaction and characterize linguistic phenomena and processes that cause them.
PLO 13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folk art, determine their specificity and place in the literary process (by specialization: Slavic languages and literatures (including translation), the first is Polish).
PLO 14. To use Polish, English and Lithuanian languages orally and in writing, in various genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres life.
PLO 15. To carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of various styles and genres.
PLO 16. To know and understand the basic concepts, theories and concepts of the chosen philological specialization, to be able to apply them in professional activities.
PLO 17. Collect, analyze, systematize and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them to solve complex problems and problems in specialized areas of professional activity and/or learning.
PLO 18. Have the skills to manage complex actions or projects when solving complex problems in professional activities in the field of the chosen philological specialization and bear responsibility for decision-making in unpredictable conditions.

Examination regulations and grading scale
Examinations (written, oral, mixed form), tests, differentiated tests, ongoing control (written test papers, oral survey, essays, presentations of individual and team projects), defense of coursework, attestation (final) exam, defense of qualifying (bachelor's) work . In order to maintain academic integrity, the participants of the educational process are guided by the norms of the "Ethical Code of the University Community".
Оbligatory or optional mobility windows (if applicable)
Agreements on international academic mobility (Erasmus+ K1), on long-term international projects, as well as bilateral agreements with partner universities of the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Lithuania, which provide for inclusive education of students, have been concluded and are in force.
Work placement
The training involves the mandatory completion of Educational practice, Communicative-excursion and Communicative-translation practice (in selective blocks). Educational practice: the stage of practical training of students, gives students the opportunity to consolidate general and professional competences in activities related to the organization of successful communication in different languages, creation, analysis and evaluation of written and oral texts of various genres and styles. The bases are the Center of Baltic Studies, scientific libraries; Communicative-excursion practice (WB 1) is aimed at forming skills of practical application of professional knowledge and skills. The bases are Kyiv translation bureaus and excursion bureaus, RVR Agency employment bureau, as well as bases of the student's own choice.
