PRN 7. Understand the main problems of philology and approaches to their solution using appropriate methods and innovative approaches. PRN 15. To carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of various styles and genres. PRN 19. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of courses: theoretical and practical subjects of the literary cycle within the framework of the bachelor's curriculum. 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of literary studies, the history of Ukrainian and world literature, and the updating of the material learned by students within these disciplines; literature as the art of words and the specifics of literature of certain eras. 3. Mastering the basics of prose work analysis, the basics of poetry and approaches to the analysis of dramatic works. 4. The ability to interpret a literary work, focusing on its semantic load, to use basic professional terminology, basic literary categories and concepts, to critically approach the search and processing of scientific sources for the performance of individual abstract and creative tasks.
Course content
The subject of study of the academic discipline is the history of literary science, theoretical aspects of the study of the history of literature, the structure of a literary work. As a result of studying the course, students should master the current literary tools, theoretical approaches to the analysis of a work of art and improve the skills of interpreting a literary text.

Assessment methods and criteria
Creative task (presentation of an artistic work), essay, control work, exam. Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level evaluation of the learned material, in particular, the evaluation of theoretical training - learning results, which is 40% of the total grade, and the evaluation of practical training - learning results, which is 60% of the total grade. The final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester (minimum - 36, maximum - 60 points) and the exam paper (minimum - 24, maximum - 40 points).
