Learning outcomes
PRN 2. Effectively work with information: select the necessary information from various sources, in particular from specialized literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PRN 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and problems of professional activity. PRN 17. Collect, analyze, systematize and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them to solve complex problems and problems in specialized areas of professional activity and/or learning. PRN 19. Have the skills to participate in scientific and/or applied research in the field of philology. PRN 20. Know the problems of modern Polonistics as a separate direction of Slavic studies and demonstrate a holistic system of professional knowledge that determines the social significance of the future profession.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successfully master the academic disciplines provided by the OPP "Polish language and literature, English and Lithuanian languages"; to know information on the theory and history of linguistics and literary studies, and the methodology of scientific research; to have basic skills to collect and analyze, systematize and interpret linguistic and literary facts; skills of scientific research, skills of using information and communication technologies to solve professional tasks.
Course content
The goal is to establish the actual compliance of the graduate’s educational and qualification level with the requirements of the educational and qualification characteristics of specialty 035 "Philology (035.033 Slavic languages and literatures (including translation), the first Polish)" under the OPP "Polish language and literature, English and Lithuanian languages" . The qualifying work is an independent scientific study on the Polish language and/or literature. The work is aimed at checking professional knowledge in linguistics or literary studies, the ability to critically analyze scientific sources, the ability and readiness of future specialists to identify, theoretically substantiate, develop and solve current problems of philology using the latest methods and technologies. The preparation of the bachelor's thesis includes the stages of choosing and approving the topic, consulting with the academic supervisor, collecting material, processing sources and scientific theoretical-methodical and critical literature, drawing up a plan, writing the thesis, appropriate design of the thesis and defense.

Assessment methods and criteria
The assessment for writing a bachelor's qualification thesis consists of three components: 1) assessment by the supervisor, who fills out the supervisor’s form in accordance with the evaluation criteria; 2) evaluations by the reviewer, who fills out the review form in accordance with the evaluation criteria; 3) marks for the defense of the qualification work, which is issued by the attestation commission and entered in the final evaluation sheet, which also contains the overall mark as an arithmetic whole of three components. The public defense of the qualification work is held in the form of a presentation using various forms of visualization of the report. The attestation commission evaluates the defense of the bachelor's qualification work based on the results of the report.
