Learning outcomes
PRN 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of the Polish language and literature, and to be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PRN 13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folk art, determine their specificity and place in the literary process (by specialization: Slavic languages and literatures (including translation), the first is Polish). PRN 15. To carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of various styles and genres. PRN 20. Know the problems of modern Polonistics as a separate direction of Slavic studies and demonstrate a holistic system of professional knowledge that determines the social significance of the future profession. PRN 21.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting this course, students should know the periodization of the literary process of Polish literature; to have the basics of literary analysis of artistic works; to be able to fit the history of Polish literature into the European context. Be able to systematize literary facts and phenomena, give them an objective assessment; operate the literary terminological apparatus; orally and in writing to formulate own thoughts and judgments based on previously acquired theoretical knowledge.
Course content
To give Polish students generalized, systematized information about the development of Polish literature of the Baroque and Enlightenment eras, to systematize knowledge of the main historical and cultural events of the specified periods, to acquaint them with the general European context of the development of Polish literature. To acquaint students with the main trends in the development of Polish literature in the 17th century. - 18th century, with the most famous creative individuals, main currents and most significant works of Polish literature of the specified period.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The presentation of the material is carried out using the following teaching methods: Lectures and practical classes, video viewing of the material, work with texts (reading, abstracting, quoting); management of independent work and control over its implementation, individual consultations are carried out
Assessment methods and criteria
Control is carried out according to the modular rating system. The final form of assessment is an exam. It is mandatory to write two thematic test papers, complete homework in the necessary volume and oral presentations on the topics provided by the work program of the academic discipline. Students who did not score the minimum positive number of points must compose material on the topics for which the debt arose, in the form of writing independent works, essays or, if necessary, an additional test work, it is mandatory for the exam to write at least three essays, conduct reader's diary, attendance at lectures and practicals (at least 50%).
