Bachelor's degree in the specialty 035 “Philology”. Bachelor's degree in other specialties, subject to passing an additional entrance examination of a qualifying nature.

By a separate decision of the examination board, a professional qualification may be awarded: 2310.2 - “Teacher of a higher education institution2 (Greek)” and/or 2444.2 - “Translator (Greek)”. Detailed conditions for awarding a professional qualification are given in the Description of the EP.

A complete list of learning outcomes for the educational program is provided in the paragraph “Program Profile” and in the description of the program. Here are some of them: PLO 2. Confidently speak the state, Modern Greek and English languages for written and oral communication, in particular in situations of professional and scientific communication; present research results in the state and foreign languages. PLO 6. Apply knowledge of expressive, emotional, logical means of language and speech techniques to achieve the planned pragmatic result and organize successful communication. PLO 7. Analyze, compare and classify different areas and schools of linguistics. PLO 8. Evaluate historical achievements and the latest achievements of literary studies. PLO 9. Characterize the theoretical foundations (concepts, categories, principles, basic concepts, etc.) and applied aspects of the chosen philological specialization. PLO 10. Collect and systematize linguistic and literary facts, analyze folklore facts, interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres of Modern Greek and English. PLO 11. Carry out scientific analysis of linguistic and literary material in the Modern Greek and English languages, interpret and structure it taking into account appropriate methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data. The final assessment of learning outcomes is carried out on a single 100-point scale. The criterion for successful completion of the assessment is the achievement of the minimum threshold levels of grades for each planned learning outcome of the educational component and the minimum threshold level of the educational component in general. Scale of compliance: Excellent 90-100 % Good 75-89 % Satisfactory 60-74 % Unsatisfactory Fail 0-59 % Passed 60-100 % Not Passed Fail 0-59 % When completing all forms of reporting, students must adhere to the standards of academic integrity formulated in the Ethical Code of the university community. Forms of current control: written quizzes, tests, oral questioning, presentations and multimodal projects, creative tasks (essays, reviews, etc.). Final control: exams (written, oral, mixed form), tests, differentiated tests, final exams, defense of the master's thesis.

Within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ program, on the basis of bilateral agreements between Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and educational institutions of partner countries.

The training includes a mandatory assistantship (Modern Greek) (industrial practice with a break from theoretical training).

Graduates can carry out written and oral communication in Greek and English, as well as professional activities in the field of Greek philology in the following areas of professional competence: work in positions related to expert, educational, and translation activities. A Master of Philology can work in the educational, literary, publishing and scientific fields; in teaching and administrative positions in higher education institutions; in print and electronic media, PR agencies, various foundations, unions, humanitarian foundations, museums, publishing houses, artistic and cultural centers, diplomatic and consular institutions of Greece and Cyprus, enterprises related to Greece and Cyprus, in various sectors of the economy where services are required for the creation, analysis, translation, evaluation of texts in the following positions: philologist; teacher; translator; copywriter; editor; international project coordinator; manager of work with foreign clients; administrator; literary officer; literary critic; tutor.

Opportunity to study under the third cycle FQ-EHEA, EQF-LLL level 8 and HPK level 8 programs of Ukraine, to acquire additional qualifications in the postgraduate education system.
