Prerequisites and co-requisites
Have a command of the Greek language at a level not lower than B2 according to the Common European CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment); know the peculiarities of the development of Greek literature and linguistic culture until the 20th century.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to form students' ideas about intercultural communication from the point of view of cultural studies, communication theory and linguistics, understanding the ways of forming cultural codes, causes of communication failures and ways to overcome them. Summary of the subject discipline - 1 GC of the discipline ‘Interaction of Cultures: Principles and Methods’ covers the issues of communicative spaces in which the need for interlanguage communication may arise, in particular, theoretical models of CMC, linguistic and cultural mechanisms that provide CMC; the problems of intra-linguistic translation as a form of CMC are covered. 2 General subjects ‘The literary text as a space of CMC’ aims at the practical development of aspects of intercultural communication, namely: peculiarities of functioning of different language codes in texts and principles of reproduction of multicode communication in translation (multilingual codes (Greek/Turkish), local codes (dialectisms), social codes (jargonisms), psychological codes (idiostyle specificity).

Additions, participation in the discussion: L1.1-1.3; L2.1-2.3; L3.1-3.2; L4.1-4.2 4/8 points. 3. Report-analysis of scientific literature: EQ 3.1-3.2; EQ 4.1-4.2 - 6/10 points. 4. Creative assignment (essay / review / team multimodal project): LL 1.3; LL 2.2-2.3; LL 3.1-3.2; LL 4.1-4.2 - 8/12 points. 5. Control work with open answers: SLO 1.1-1.3; SLO 2.1-2.3; SLO 4.1-4.2 - 6/10 points. The semester number of points is formed by the points received for classroom work and for independent work (preparation of a creative task/project). The final assessment: exam - PH 1.1-1.3; PH 2.1-2.3; PH 3.1; PH 4.1-4.2 - 24/40 points.
