The professional qualification is assigned on the basis of: determination of the minimum required level of achievements in academic disciplines responsible for professional competences; gaining practical experience in the process of professional practice; the assignment of qualification is carried out by a separate decision of the qualification commission on the results of the final attestation, the level of which cannot be lower than the minimum required level of achievement - 70 points.

LO 1. To search, analyze and synthesize information from various sources for solving professional tasks and to establish causal relationships between social events and phenomena. LO 2. To communicate fluently orally and in writing state and foreign languages on professional issues. LO 3. To identify, formulate and solve problems in the field of social work, to integrate theoretical knowledge and practical experience. LO 4. To formulate their own reasonable judgments based on the analysis of a social problem. LO 5. To argue ways to overcome problems and difficult life circumstances theoretically, to choose effective methods to solve them, to predict the consequences. LO 6. To develop long-term and current plans, programs of activities, to make effective decisions in difficult situations promptly. LO 7. To use specialized software in solving professional problems. LO 8. To analyze and evaluate the current social policy of the country, socio-political processes at the national, regional and local levels critically. LO 9. To use appropriate scientific investigations and apply professional research skills in the provision of social assistance. LO 10. To analyze socio-psychological processes in small and large groups. LO 11. To use prevent methods for deviations in mental development, behavioral disorders, interpersonal relationships breakdown, for conflict resolution, for prevention of social risks and difficult life circumstances. LO 12. To determine the content of cooperation with partner organizations in social work for performing tasks of professional activity. LO 13. To use methods of social diagnostics in the evaluation process of problems, needs, peculiarities and client’s resources. LO 14. By their own to determine the circumstances which are needed social assistance. LO 15. To make practical decisions to improve social welfare and to increase social security. LO 16. To apply management methods to organize their own professional activities and to manage the activities of social workers, volunteers and staff. LO 17. To establish and maintain relationships with clients on the basis of mutual trust and in accordance with ethical principles and standards of social work, to provide them with psychological support and encourage clients. LO 18. To set the cooperation with representatives of various professional groups and communities; to use strategies of individual and collective representation of clients' interests. LO 19. To identify strengths and to involve the client’s personal resources, resources of social groups and communities to solve their problems and get out of difficult life circumstances. LO 20. To identify ethical dilemmas and contradictions in professional activities and to use supervision to resolve them. LO 21. To demonstrate tolerance, to show respect for cultural, religious, ethnic differences, to distinguish the influence of stereotypes and prejudices. LO 22. To demonstrate the ability to solve problems creatively and to make innovative decisions, to think and apply creativity to form fundamentally new ideas. LO 23. To construct the process and the result of social work within the set tasks, to use quantitative and qualitative indicators, to adjust the work plan in accordance with the results of the assessment.

Full-time form

Modular control is provided in the form of tests, presentations, speeches in front of the audience, the completion of practical tasks, investigations in the field of psychology. A written exams, credits, differentiated offset, diploma thesis. The final evaluation of learning outcomes is carried out on 100-point scale. The assessment of the applicant corresponds to the ratio established of the level of professional and general competencies to the planned learning outcomes (as a percentage). International academic mobility is implemented within the framework of the Erasmus + Global project under the Social Services program: an agreement has been signed with NOVIA University of Applied Sciences (Finland, Turku campus). Candidates are selected on a competitive basis with a certificate of English language proficiency (not less than B2). It provides for scholarships for 4 candidates, payment of a travel grant and a grant for a visa and insurance policy.

On-the-job practical training (6 semester) and Internship (8 semester) can take place in institutes of NAS and APN of Ukraine, other scientific institutions, enterprises of various forms of ownership, centers (state and non-state) of social and psychological rehabilitation, line ministries of Ukraine and subordinate organizations, charitable foundations, public and international organizations, etc. At the end of the internship, students report on the implementation of the tasks. All tasks performed by the student-intern are subject to differentiated assessment by the head of practice from the department. The assessment should take into account the level of practice and the content of the submitted reporting documents. The report on practice is defended by students at the meeting of the department.

Employment at centers of social services, charity, non-goverment or research organizations, international funds (UN, UNICEF, UNDP, UNFPA, NATO liaison office in Ukraine), Swiss-Ukrainian project of decentralization of communities "DESPRO", Profile Ministries of Ukraine, centers of socio-psychological rehabilitation on any position connected with social work is possible.

Access to programmes of the Second (Master) level of the higher education. Has the right to acquire additional qualifications in the adult education system.
