Learning outcomes
LO 1. To search, analyze and synthesize information from various sources for solving professional tasks and to establish causal relationships between social events and phenomena. LO 4. To formulate their own reasonable judgments based on the analysis of a social problem. LO 10. To analyze socio-psychological processes in small and large groups. LO 14. By their own to determine the circumstances which are needed social assistance. LO 16. To apply management methods to organize their own professional activities and to manage the activities of social workers, volunteers and staff. LO 17. To establish and maintain relationships with clients on the basis of mutual trust and in accordance with ethical principles and standards of social work, to provide them with psychological support and encourage clients.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the basic concepts and categorical apparatus of the disciplines "Theory of social work", "Age characteristics of client groups", "Practical psychology in social work", "Pedagogy"; technologies of social work with family, children and youth; forms and methods of social work in crisis situations; ethical principles of social work with the client.
2. To be able to analyze complex life situations of clients; provide primary psychosocial support in working with the client; correctly apply methods of social work with the family; apply the acquired knowledge in the practical field.
3. To have primary skills in the field of arts
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is the formation of competences in future specialists in social work in the field of solving the main task of social work, which consists in activating resources, equipping and supporting the client, in particular involving in solving such tasks artistic methods in social work as an additional resource in working with an individual case , as well as in group work, which is used to solve tasks related to establishing stable positive contact with clients, removing emotional tension, expanding the boundaries of clients' worldview, clarifying the results of diagnosis of psychological and socio-psychological manifestations in the client's "problem area", actualizing the resource potential of the individual clients and involving them in the practices of a creative attitude to everyday life

Assessment methods and criteria
Verbal answers, practical tasks, presentations, reports, project
The maximum number of points per semester is 100 points. The verbal test in accordance with the submitted projects, presentations, reports. The minimum number of points for sitting the examination is 40 points.
Form of final control - credit.
Organization of evaluation:
. The maximum number of points for work during a semester is 100.
The credit is granted based on the results of the student;s work during the semester.
Students who scored totally less than 60 points during the semester, but more than the critical
minimum of 40 points shall pass the test. The test is estimated at a maximum of 20 points.
Students who scored during the semester lower points than the critical-calculated minimum -
40 points are not allowed to take the test.
The recommended minimum for admission to the test is 40 points.
Rating scale:
0-59 - not credited;
60-100 - credited.
