Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the methodological principles of practical psychology; tasks of practical psychology in social work; forms and methods of psychological work in solving social problems; research methods of psychology in social work; psychodiagnostic methods in social work; features of diagnostics of family and group relations in social work; methods of psychocorrection in social work; methods of active socio-psychological training in social work; psychotherapeutic methods in social work; technologies of work with risk groups
2. Be able to compare the place of psychologist and social worker in the system of interaction with the client; Diagnose family and group relationships; Apply psychodiagnostic methods with clients of social work; To make the social and psychological characteristic on the surveyed clients of social work; Conduct social and psychological counseling with the client.
Course content
The purpose of teaching the discipline is to master students' theoretical and methodological foundations of modern practical psychology as a necessary element of assistance to individuals and groups in the process of social work.
The course is designed to acquaint students with the basic methods of psychology and the peculiarities of their application in the practice of social work. First of all, the future social worker must understand the difference between practical, domestic and scientific psychology and how they can be used in professional activities.

Assessment methods and criteria
The order of organization of assessment is carried out during the semester during the performance of students:
1. Creative and reproductive tasks for independent work - up to 10 points for each
2. Preparation of reports and abstracts - up to 10 points for each
3. Modular test - up to 20 points
- final assessment in the form of a test - up to 40 points
Based on the results of the semester, the student receives a final grade on a 100-point system, which is calculated as the accumulated grades for the module in the semester and grades for the test according to the following formula: Content module (30-60 points) + Comprehensive final module 40 points) = Total (final score) (36 - 100 points)
