Learning outcomes
LO 3. To identify, formulate and solve problems in the field of social work, to integrate theoretical knowledge and practical experience. LO 5. To argue ways to overcome problems and difficult life circumstances theoretically, to choose effective methods to solve them, to predict the consequences. LO 10. To analyze socio-psychological processes in small and large groups. LO 14. By their own to determine the circumstances which are needed social assistance. LO 23. To construct the process and the result of social work within the set tasks, to use quantitative and qualitative indicators, to adjust the work plan in accordance with the results of the assessment.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know:
- Socio-psychological characteristics of children;
- A system of social organizations that can defend childrens’ rights;
- Algorithm for providing assistance to homeless children;
To be able:
- To establish contact with underage customers;
- To be responsible in making professional decisions;
To own:
- Skills in developing social activities.
Course content
The discipline provides for the formation of professional skills in the implementation of social work with children who are on the street. The two main client categories studied by students in the course are homeless children and children left without care.
Students master the peculiarities of each of the groups, the reasons that could lead to the phenomenon of child neglect, and study the Ukrainian and global experience of providing assistance to such children.
Particular attention is paid to studying the activities of services that protect children's rights, in particular, services for children, social service centers, children's shelters, centers for social and psychological rehabilitation of children.
Also, during the course, students get acquainted with the tools of mobile social work, and in the training environment acquire the skills to implement them. This is ensured through the training development of a program of mobile social work with children.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, independent work, group discussion, educational game, watching educational videos
Assessment methods and criteria
Writing a critical essay, passing a survey, participating in group work, preparing an action plan for mobile social work for a certain group of clients, final essay.
Assessment during the semester: writing critical essays or written works - up to 7 points, answers at seminars, group work - up to 5 points, preparation of an action plan for mobile social work for a certain group of clients - up to 20 points, final essay - up to 15 points. In total for the semester the student can get a maximum of 60 points, but not less than 36 points for admission to the exam.
The form of final control is an exam. The maximum score is 40 points, the minimum is 24 points.
Based on the results of the work during the semester, the student receives a final grade on a 100-point system, which is calculated as the sum of grades for the semester and grades for the exam:
0-59 - unsatisfactory
60-74 - satisfactory
75-89 - good
90-100 - excellent
