Getting the educational qualification of Master of Philology (035.068) and professional qualifications (a grade of at least 75 points): Instructor: psychological and pedagogical disciplines, methodology courses, final exams and teaching assistantship (turkish, english); translator (turkish): courses in the “Translation studies” module, final exam, translation practicum; linguist: courses in the “Linguistics and Second Turkic Language” module, research practicum and masters thesis defense.

Evaluate one’s own academic and professional activities, and develop and implement an effective strategy for self-development and professional growth. LO2. Be proficient in the national language, Turkish, and English for written and oral communication, particularly in professional and academic contexts; present research findings in the national language, Turkish, and English. LO3. Apply modern methodologies and technologies, particularly information technologies, to successfully and effectively carry out professional activities and ensure the quality of scientific research in the field of Turkish philology. LO4. Evaluate and critically analyze socially, personally, and professionally significant problems and propose solutions to them in complex and unpredictable conditions, which requires the application of new approaches and forecasting. LO5. Find optimal ways of effective interaction within a professional team and with representatives of other professional groups at various levels. LO6. Apply knowledge of expressive, emotional, and logical language tools and speech techniques to achieve a planned pragmatic outcome and organize successful communication.

Examination regulations and grading scale
The assessment system consists of: 1. Formative assessment (quizzes, tests, independent work, and presentations). 2. Modular assessment (assessment of knowledge after completing individual sections of the syllabus). 3. Semester assessment (midterm or final exam according to the schedule and syllabus). The exam format, test structure, and grading criteria are specified in the syllabus and announced at the beginning of the course. The final assessment also includes a comprehensive exam and the defense of the bachelor’s thesis. The final grade for the course is calculated on a 100-point scale according to the form of semester assessment: Exam: the maximum number of points is 100, of which up to 60 points are awarded for performance during the semester and up to 40 points for performance during the exam session. Test: the final grade is calculated as the sum of points for in-class work (maximum 80 points) and the results of the test (maximum 20 points).
Оbligatory or optional mobility windows (if applicable)
Under the EU’s Erasmus+ program, based on bilateral agreements between Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and higher education institutions in partner countries, including Turkey. Academic mobility is conducted based on bilateral agreements between Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and Anatolia University (Eskişehir), the University of Askasaray, and Sivas Cumhuriyet University. Application requirements: compliance with the procedure for submitting and preparing documents; a high or average academic GPA; a foreign language proficiency certificate; recommendations from the department chair, academic advisor, a professor at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, or a partner university; a properly executed study agreement; an interview with the selection committee; and confirmation of the nomination by the partner university.
Work placement
The curriculum requires students to complete an off-campus assistant internship in the second semester as a mandatory component of the educational program, as well as an off-campus translation internship (elective module “Translation Studies”) or research (elective module “Linguistics and a Second Turkic Language”) internships separate from theoretical studies in the third semester as an elective component of the educational program. Internship sites, in accordance with signed bilateral agreements: V.I. Vernadsky Taurida National University; Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol; “Master of Books” LLC, etc.

Occupational profiles of graduates
Masters of Philology with proficiency in Turkish and English can work in the academic, literary, and publishing sectors; in teaching, research, and administrative positions at institutions of higher education; in print and electronic media, PR agencies, various humanitarian foundations, associations, museums, libraries, and archives, as well as art and cultural centers, etc. In addition, proficiency in Turkish and English enables graduates with a master’s degree in philology to find employment in a wide variety of economic sectors where translation and content creation services in foreign languages are required, as well as in travel agencies, international organizations, foreign missions, diplomatic and consular services, regional offices, and similar institutions.
Access to further studies
They are eligible to continue their studies at the third (research) level of higher education. They may also obtain additional qualifications through postgraduate education.
