Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before beginning this course, students should be familiar with the main characteristics of the Turkic languages and have a basic understanding of philological concepts.
Course content
The course “General Theoretical Course in a Second Turkic Language” introduces students to the fundamental theoretical aspects of the modern Crimean Tatar language. The course covers the phonetics, grammar, and lexicology of the Crimean Tatar language.
The course “General Theoretical Course in a Second Turkic Language” is an elective component of the educational and research program “Eastern Philology, Western European Language, and Translation: Turkish Language and Literature”; level of higher education: second (3rd semester; total of 120 hours, including 20 hours of lectures, 10 hours of seminars, and 90 hours of independent study).
The course curriculum consists of 2 content modules. Instruction is conducted in the form of lectures and seminars. The course concludes with a final exam.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training -
learning outcomes (knowledge), which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills), which accounts for 60% of the total grade.
Assessment of semester work:
1. Answer at the seminar: 15 - 30 points.
2. Presentation: 15 - 30 points.
3. Control work with open answers: 15 - 20 points.
4. Final control work: 15 - 20 points.
5. Credit: 12 - 20 points.
