Learning outcomes
LO2. Be proficient in the national language, Turkish, and English for written and oral communication, particularly in professional and academic contexts; present research findings in the national language, Turkish, and English. LO5. Identify optimal ways to interact effectively within a professional team and with representatives of other professional groups at various levels. LO6. Apply knowledge of expressive, emotional, and logical language tools and speech techniques to achieve a planned pragmatic outcome and facilitate successful communication. LO14. Create, analyze, and edit texts of various styles and genres. LO16. Apply specialized conceptual knowledge in Turkish philology to solve complex tasks and problems that require updating and integrating knowledge, often under conditions of incomplete or insufficient information and conflicting requirements.

Know: 1) the characteristics of using various structural and intonational patterns in different communicative situations. Be able to: 1) listen to discourses containing elements of professional, academic, and business vocabulary; 2) understand the content of texts of various styles and levels of complexity when reading original texts. Be able to: 1) apply acquired skills in practical oral communication.
Course content
The discipline «Communicative Strategies of the Turkish Language» introduces students to the basic and conceptual principles of analysing speech behaviour within the framework of an intercultural approach to achieve the speaker's goals in specific speech situations in the Turkish-speaking environment. The study of this discipline involves a detailed analysis of the principles, rules and conventions of communication; causes and consequences of communicative deviations; etiquette and language norms of Turkish conversational and business discourses; culturally specific features of the mentality, ideas, values of representatives of Turkish culture.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge), which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills), which accounts for 60% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: 1. Work in practical classes (preparation of assignments, oral response, work with dictionaries, text corpora, the Internet, written work, translation of audiovisual materials): 12 - 30 points. 2. Oral report (dialog): 6 - 10 points. 3. Modular control work: 15 - 20 points. 4. Credit: 14 - 20 points.
