Learning outcomes
LO2. Demonstrate proficiency in the national language, Turkish, and English for written and oral communication, particularly in professional and academic contexts; present research findings in the national language, Turkish, and English. LO7. Analyze, compare, and classify various trends and schools in Turkish linguistics. LO8. Evaluate the historical legacy and recent achievements of literary studies. LO11. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Interdisciplinary connections: Foreign Language (English), Theory of Translation from English. Students must have a foreign language proficiency of at least B2, as well as knowledge of translation theory, the ability to apply modern translation methods in practice, and basic skills in applying theoretical knowledge of translation theory.
Course content
The off-campus translation internship is a comprehensive process that forms an integral part of the training of specialists in the educational program “Eastern Philology, Western European Language and Translation: Turkish Language and Literature," to prepare them for future professional practice, and is designed to ensure that students acquire the professional translation skills necessary to work as foreign language translators. The translation internship contributes to the development of professional self-awareness and communication skills, as well as the formation of the theoretical, practical, and personal-motivational components of students’ professional competence. In addition, during the internship, students continue to develop their translation skills and their own creative translation style. The internship is conducted in a full-time or online format.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Practical work: communication with the head of the internship, the head of the institution; translation of texts from the institutions of the internship; development of an individual schedule for work on translations; development of a work plan based on the internship.
Assessment methods and criteria
A student is admitted to the final assessment if he/she has completed all the work provided for in the plan. Types and forms of control: 1. Active practice: 48 - 80 points. 2. Compilation of credit documentation: 6 - 10 points. 3. Protection of reporting documentation: 6 - 10 points.
