Attestation of graduates of the educational program "Translation from Italian and English" specialty No. 035 "Philology", specialization 035.052 Philology (Romance languages and literatures (translation included), Major - Italian) is carried out in the form of passing a comprehensive final exam in translation and the Italian language, the final exam in English, as well as the defense of the bachelor's qualification work.
Programme learning outcomes
PLO 1. Use the Ukrainian language as the state language in all spheres of public life, in particular in professional communication and for the organization of effective intercultural communication. PLO 2. Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, critically analyse and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize. PLO 3. Organize the process of one’s studying and self-education. PLO 4. Demonstrate the understanding of the fundamental principles of human existence, nature, society. PLO 5. Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, supporters of different political views, etc. PLO 6. Apply philological knowledge to solve professional tasks. PLO 7. Use information and communication technologies, in particular to solve standard tasks of professional activity. PLO 8. Examination regulations and grading scale
Exams (written, oral, mixed form), tests, differentiated tests, midterm control, current control, presentations, essays, course project defense, coursework defense, final exams, bachelor's thesis defense. The specific rules of the examination are set out in the work programs of the academic disciplines. The main principles of the evaluation policy are regulated by the "Regulations on the Organization of the Educational Process at KNUTSH". In order to maintain academic integrity, the participants of the educational process are guided by the norms of the "Ethical Code of the University Community". The final evaluation of the results of training under the OPP is carried out on a single 100-point scale. Work placement
Production translation practice separated from theoretical training. During practice, students must acquire professional skills and skills to independently solve tasks related to the process of oral or written translation. They must complete a written translation from Italian into Ukrainian of 15-20 pages (one page – 1500 printed characters) of socio-political, professional, artistic and other types of texts or from Ukrainian into Italian of 10-15 pages. In the case of an oral translation, the number of pages of the written translation is reduced proportionally. Enterprises, public or commercial organizations, divisions of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv can be bases of practices.
