PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyse and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 3. Organize self-learning and self-education process. PLO 4. Understand the fundamental principles of human, nature and society genesis.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
As a result of the study of the previous courses, students should have elementary knowledge about the general properties and regularities of the nature that surrounds a person.
Course content
The aim of the course is to provide the students with the basic knowledge about the formation and development of the scientific worldview. The discipline performs the main general educational and developmental function, which consists in the formation of the student's scientific worldview and the development of modern forms of theoretical thinking and the ability to analyze natural phenomena. Students get acquainted with the history of the emergence and development of science in society, the achievements of its various branches. This course should contribute to the formation in students of a modern scientific outlook, without which it is difficult to imagine the civilization of the 21st century.

Assessment methods and criteria
The number of points for semester is formed by the points received by the student in the process of consolidation of material from all topics of the content module. The content module includes the following types of work: intermediate tests (6 per module) – 42 points / 72 points per module (7 points / 12 points per one test), presentation (1 per module) – 8 points / 12 points per module and control work (test) (1 per module) – 10 points / 16 points per test.
