Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyse and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques necessary to produce oral and written texts of different genres and styles in Ukrainian, Italian and English. PLO 22. Use the knowledge of history and culture of Ukraine and Italian- and English-speaking countries for ensuring successful communication and adequate translation. PLO 23. Identify and analyse the specific features of a communicative situation in translation and impact on translation decisions. PLO 28.1 Demonstrate the ability to implement communicative interlingual mediation on the basis of the knowledge of linguistic and cultural specifics.

Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to develop the skills and translation skills in the field of tourism in students studying Italian as a first foreign language. Included in the block of free choice of the student specializing in "Translation in Intercultural Communication". It consists of two parts. The first part, a lecture, introduces the translation situations in tourism, the typology of modern tourist texts and the main strategies for solving the most typical difficulties of their translation; the language of instruction is Italian. The practical part of the course is designed to develop the skills and abilities of written and oral translation of tourist texts, to overcome specific translation difficulties caused by the field or conditions of interlingual communication; the languages of teaching, learning and assessment are Italian and Ukrainian

Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, evaluation is carried out in accordance with the types of work and the form of assessment described in clause 7.1 of the programme: performance of written tasks (max. 2.5 — min. 1.5), oral answer (max. 2 — min. 1.2), written part of the group project (max. 10 - min. 6), oral part of the group project (max. 5 - min. 3), control written translation (max. 20 - min. 12). For a complete list of types of works and their evaluation criteria, see in clause 7 of the work program of the academic discipline. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who did not score the minimum positive number of points - 60 - receive - "not enrolled".
