PLO 1. Сommunicate freely on professional issues with experts and non-experts in Ukrainian, Italian and English, in oral and in written form, use these languages to ensure effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyse and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 3. Organize self-learning and self-education process. PLO 5. Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, proponents of different political views, etc. PLO 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and issues of professional activity.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before studying this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; basic cultural theories and methods of cultural research; know the key historical stages of the development of foreign and Ukrainian culture. Be able to collect and interpret information on cultural phenomena and phenomena, cultural processes and events. Possess basic skills in scientific research and information management; the ability to conduct research, learn and master modern knowledge, be able to search, process and analyze information from various sources.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to form a holistic view of culture, the peculiarities of the cultural process, the history of Ukrainian and foreign culture. An important component is not only knowledge of the peculiarities of each cultural and historical period, taking into account socio-economic and political processes, facts, key personalities, events, and works of art, but also an understanding of the patterns and interrelationships between the components of culture. The students will develop the ability to analyse the current cultural situation with the possibility of predicting the further course of events. During the study of this course, the student will acquire basic knowledge of the organisational and scientific-methodological support of teaching Ukrainian and foreign culture, basic knowledge of the prerequisites for the formation, genesis, main stages of development and features of foreign and Ukrainian culture; basic knowledge of the main stages of development of world and Ukrainian art, modern scientific concepts within which they are studied,basic understanding of the history of development and functioning of Ukrainian and foreign cultural space, its genesis and current state.

Assessment methods and criteria
The overall grade for the semester is formed from two components: - Grade for completing seminar assignments (7 classes * 10 points = maximum 70 points). - Grade for creative work (maximum 10 points). The final control is a maximum of 20 points. It is carried out in the form of a written test (test) in the last week of the semester. The condition for admission to the test is that the student completes practical tasks and creative work with a total score of at least 40 points. Students who score less than 60 points in all successfully completed forms of control are given the opportunity to write an additional test and complete their homework to raise their score to 60 points.
