Professional qualification 2320 (Secondary School Teacher of Ukrainian Language and Literature, Foreign Language)) is awarded by examination board due to the compliance with requirements set in educational programme description.
Programme learning outcomes
PLO 1. To know and interpret basic notions, categories and concepts, to implement strategies and analyze the trends of development of the Ukrainian literature, the history of the formation and development of the Ukrainian Literary Studies, the impact of folklore on the evolution of the Ukrainian literature. PLO 2. To distinguish between the stages and trends in development of the Ukrainian literary language, interpret the evolution of the Ukrainian language studies on the global scale. PLO 3. To recognize pragmatic, linguistic, stylistic, genre and compositional peculiarities of the Ukrainian scientific language and use it to write scientific texts. PLO 4. To know and use modern kinds, approaches, methods, principles, tools and forms of teaching and training in high profession-oriented school. PLO 5. To be aware of the age-specific and psychophysiological features of high profession-oriented school students and incorporate them in teaching. PLO 6. To effectively apply information technologies and tools to teach languages and literatures in high profession-oriented school. PLO 7. To know the approaches, methods, forms of organization and principles of teaching Pedagogy and Methodology related disciplines and use them in higher educational institutions. PLO 8. To be aware of the methods of scientific research in teaching methodology and implement them in scientific explorations. PLO 9. To know the basic principles of organizing and managing teaching in high profession-oriented school. PLO 10. To have knowledge of methodological base and modern conceptions of teaching the Ukrainian language in high profession-oriented school, to create and test new methods of teaching Ukrainian. PLO 11. To know methodological base and modern conceptions of teaching the Ukrainian literature in high profession-oriented school, to create and test new methods of teaching the Ukrainian literature. PLO 12. To be aware of theoretical base for the international scientific research in education and conduct further scientific research. PLO 13. To master basic notions, categories and theories of modern education system and to efficiently use them in practice. PLO 14. To implement communication strategies of the English formal and academic discourse at the level to sufficiently engage into professional practices. Formative assessment includes oral answers, presentations, essays, tests, modules; summative assessment – exams, pass-fail tests. Final assessment is conducted through qualification papers and integrated final exams.
