Program Learning Outcomes PLO 18.1. Know linguocultural principles of teaching languages, be able to use linguocultural approach in language teaching. PLO Au. 2. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful completion of the academic disciplines of the general linguistics cycle at the "Bachelor" level 2) knowledge of general information of modern pedagogical theory and practice, the latest linguistic didactic methods and methods of the teacher's pedagogical activity, the basics of linguistic terminology 3) possession of basic skills and language analysis skills in its social, functional, system-structural, ethno-cultural dimensions.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to familiarize students with the achievements of modern linguistic and cultural studies in the perspective of actual theoretical and applied problems of linguistic didactics in language teaching, as well as the formation of abilities and skills of linguistic and cultural analysis of ethnoculturally marked texts in the Ukrainian language; development of algorithms for describing linguistic phenomena using the conceptual-categorical and terminological apparatus of modern linguistic and cultural studies for their effective application in all types of teacher's educational activities. The structure of the discipline consists of 2 content parts (11 topics), which provide the study of the object, subject, stages of formation of linguistic culture, its methods and techniques with extrapolation to the applied aspect of the subject field of the discipline, in particular the forms of embodiment of the ethno-cultural component in Ukrainian texts of various genres and styles.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides the following forms of study: lectures, work in practical classes, autonomous work and teaching methods: problem-solving lecture, project work, research work, academic discussion, academic conversation, multimedia based learning.
Assessment methods and criteria
Formative assessment is delivered through assessing educational projects (essays / presentation) - (1 project for 12 points (max. 12 points), which includes a component of student self-work assessment and tests (2 tests for 12/20 points (max. 32 points).During the semester, the student receives 100 points maximum / 60 points minimum. The discipline ends with a credit. Semester final grade is formed by the points received by the student during the semester, the maximum distribution is carried out according to the following algorithm: 100 points (100%) at semester control. The minimum number of points is 60 (positive grade) based on the results of studies described in Outcome 1.1, Outcome 1.2, Outcome 1.3; Outcome 2.1; Outcome 2.2; Outcome 2.3; 2.4; Outcome 4.1. 4.4, 4.5.
