Certification of graduates of the educational program "Translation from French and English" specialty № 035 "Philology", specialization 035.055 Philology (Romance Languages and Literatures (translation included), first language - French) is conducted in the form of an Integrated Final Examination in Translation and French, Final Examination in English, as well as the defense of Bachelor's qualification work.
Programme learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non-experts in Ukrainian and foreign languages (French and English), in oral and written form, and use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 3. Organize one's own learning and self-education process. PLO 4. Understand the fundamental principles of human, nature, and society genesis. PLO 5. Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, supporters of different political views, etc. PLO 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and issues of professional activity. PLO 7. Understand the major issues of philology and approaches to solving those using relevant methods and innovative approaches. PLO 8. Know and understand the system of language, the general properties of literature as the art of word, the history of French and English, and literature, and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 9. Characterize dialect and social varieties of French and English, and describe the sociolinguistic situation. PLO 10. Know the rules of standard language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies, and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian, French, and English. PLO 12. Analyze language units, determine their interaction and characterize language phenomena and processes that determine them. Examination regulations and grading scale
Exams (written, oral, mixed form), tests, differentiated tests, intermediate control, current control, presentations, abstracts, defense of the course project, defense of the course work, final exams, and defense of the bachelor's qualification work. Specific rules of examination are set out in the work programs of academic disciplines. The main principles of assessment policy are regulated by the "Regulations on the organization of the educational process in the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv". To observe academic integrity, participants in the educational process are guided by the norms of the "Code of Ethics of the University Community". The final assessment of learning outcomes for OPP is carried out on a single 100-point scale.

Work placement
During the translation internship, students must acquire professional skills and abilities to independently solve problems related to the process of interpreting or translation. They must perform a written translation from French into Ukrainian of 15-20 pages (one page -1500 printed characters) of socio-political, professional, literary, and other types of texts from Ukrainian into French of 10-15 pages. In the case of interpreting, the number of pages of written translation is reduced in proportion. The bases for the internship can be state or commercial enterprises and organizations, divisions of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
