Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and issues of professional activity. PLO 18. Have the skills to manage complex activities or projects in solving complicated problems in professional activity in the framework of the selected philological specialization and be responsible for making decisions under unpredictable conditions. PLO 25. Demonstrate skills of using innovative technologies and a variety of translation resources, automated translation tools.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites for mastering the discipline: knowledge of computer technology at the level of an active user; knowledge of French at a level not lower than B1; knowledge of basic concepts of computer science, grammar of Ukrainian and French; ability to use text editors, manipulate tabular data, use computer dictionaries and translators, cloud storage, programs for viewing and listening to audio and video files, understanding of the principle of using filters in search engines); basic skills in translating non-specialized texts from a foreign language into Ukrainian.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to develop knowledge, skills and abilities to work with modern resources (dictionaries, reference sources, text processing programs, machine translation) required in translation activities from French into Ukrainian.

Learning activities during the semester: - Oral answers during a blitz survey; - Search and presentation of electronic lexicographic sources; - Lecture notes - Subtitled video translation - Machine translation and its analysis - Test.
Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum number of points during the semester is 100 points. In particular, semester assessment by forms of control: 1. Oral answers during a blitz survey - max. 15 points 2. Search and presentation of electronic lexicographic sources - max. 10 points 3. Lecture notes - max .10 points 4. Subtitled video translation - max. 20 points 5. Machine translation and its analysis - max. 20 points 6. Test - max. 25 points
