The training ends with the issuance of a document of the established model on awarding a master's degree with the qualification: master of museum studies, monument studies.
In order to be awarded the professional qualifications of "junior researcher" and "expert in the selection of museum and exhibition funds", it is necessary to master mandatory disciplines and undergo scientific research practice and obtain a score of at least 75 points on the final certification.
Programme learning outcomes
1. Communicate freely in national and foreign languages orally and in writing on professional issues, present and discuss the results of research, innovations, projects, etc. (PR6 of the higher education standard).
2. Effectively use information technologies and specialized software in professional activities (PR5 of the higher education standard).
3. To know the regulatory and legal basis of museum and monument protection matters, defined by domestic and international legislation, to comply with the requirements of professional ethics.
4. Plan and implement scientific and/or innovative projects in the field of museology and monument studies; collect, process and analyze the information necessary for this, argue the conclusions (PR13 of the standard of higher education additionally for educational and scientific programs).
5. To prepare methodical recommendations regarding the topic, purpose, conducting a popular science lecture or excursion in accordance with the age characteristics and educational level of the audience.
6. To implement cultural and educational projects in the field of museology and monument studies (PR16 of the standard of higher education additionally for educational and scientific programs).
7. To substantiate and create new and modernize existing expositions, exhibitions, sightseeing and tourist routes, etc. (PR4 of the standard of higher education).
8. To organize work on current, long-term and operational collection of museum objects, to ensure accounting and preservation of museum collections.
9. To have the method of analysis and classification of the source (museum object), to determine the leading meaning of museum objects as primary sources.
10. Know and apply modern technologies of interpretation and actualization of historical, cultural and natural heritage (PR7 of the standard of higher education).
11. To develop individual projects for the study of historical, cultural and natural heritage (PR14 of the standard of higher education additionally for educational and scientific programs).
12. Understand the problems of preservation, interpretation and use of historical and cultural heritage, evaluate and analyze the current state and key trends in the development of the museum and monument protection industry as a whole (PR1 of the higher education standard).
13. Apply effective methods and technologies for the design and modernization of museum and monument preservation institutions in accordance with consumer requirements and legislation, current standards and technical conditions (PR2 of the higher education standard).
14. Carry out strategic museum planning in conditions of market dynamics and competition (PR8 of the higher education standard).
15. To know and apply the methods and technologies of management and marketing in the museum and monument preservation business (PR3 of the higher education standard).
16. Communicate and cooperate with state and public organizations, international museum and monument protection institutions.
17. To be able to involve communities in the protection and popularization of cultural heritage.
