Know the characteristics of the main methods of scientific knowledge. Know the system of organization of scientific cognitive activity. Know the principles, stages of preparation and conducting scientific research. To know modern ideals and norms of scientific research. Know the rules of academic integrity. Know the rules of academic integrity. Be able to protect violated intellectual property rights by civil legal means. Be able to properly present one's own scientific results.

Full-time form

1. Know the principles, stages of preparation and conduct of scientific research, rights and obligations of owners of intellectual property rights and other participants in copyright relations, rules of academic integrity. 2. To be able to correctly use the methodological principles of scientific research, to work with a disciplinary array of publications: to conduct a search, accumulation and processing of scientific information, to protect violated intellectual property rights by civil law methods. 3. To have elementary skills of source criticism, historical analysis, establishment of cause-and-effect relationships, correct determination of facts of violation of intellectual property rights.

The content of the course is divided into 2 content modules. Each content module includes lectures, seminars, independent work of students, which are completed by rating control of the level of assimilation of knowledge of the program material of the corresponding part of the course. Content module 1 (СM1) includes topics 1 - 6. content module 2 (СM2) - topics 7 - 10.

Planned educational activities and teaching methods: - a lecture - seminar classes - independent work - test - oral interview - essay

The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. The total number of student points is formed by the semester points received from all topics of two content modules (points received for modular control papers (in the form of tests); points received for completing individual tasks; points received for work in seminar classes, as well as points which are received for the final control work. The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are: • complete disclosure of the issue • the logic of presentation • use of basic and additional literature • analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions
