Learning outcomes
As a result of studying the course, students should learn modern approaches to the use of museum funds in experimental work, be able to classify special and auxiliary material when organizing an experiment in museum work; select and systematize museum material, use it in experimental research.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the types of experiment and the basic principles of its planning. 2. To be able to logically and consistently set experimental tasks and collect relevant historiographical and other accompanying (auxiliary) material. 3. To have basic concepts, methodology, methods and ways of scientific knowledge.
Course content
The content of the course is divided into 2 content modules. Each content module includes lectures, seminars, independent work of students, which are completed by rating control of the level of assimilation of knowledge of the program material of the corresponding part of the course. Content module 1 (СM1) includes topics 1 - 6, content module 2 (СM2) - topics 7 - 10.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. The total number of student points is formed by the semester points received from all topics of two content modules (points received for modular control papers (in the form of tests); points received for completing individual tasks; points received for work in seminar classes, as well as points which are received for the final control work. The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are: • complete disclosure of the issue • the logic of presentation • use of basic and additional literature • analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions
