PTR 1. To communicate competently on professional issues with specialists and non-professionals in the state and foreign languages orally and in writing, to use them to manage effective intercultural communication. PTR 2. To work effectively with information: to collect the necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, to critically analyze and interpret it, to organize, classify and systematize it. PTR 3. To organize the educational process and self-education. PTR 4. To understand the fundamental principles of human existence, nature, society. PTR 5. To cooperate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, proponents of different political views, etc. PTR 6. Full-time form

Current control (written tests, oral surveys, individual and group projects, presentations, abstracts), intermediate control, final control (tests, differentiated tests, exams – written, oral, mixed), defense of the bachelor's qualification work, a comprehensive final exam. Rating scale – 100 points. 90-100 – ‘excellent’, 75-89 – ‘good’, 60-74 –‘satisfactory’, 1-59 – ‘fail’. Sanctions for academic integrity violation are determined by the Regulations on the organization of the educational process at the Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv.

Translation practice (МD) includes written translation of country studying texts from the native language into Ukrainian. During pedagogical practice (SB ‘Teaching Ukrainian language for foreigners’) students have to attend lectures and practical classes in the specialty and make up their detailed plan of lessons. Translation and country studying practice (SB ‘Ukrainian language in the linguistic and cultural aspect’) involves the preparation of an abstract-translation of country studying texts from the native language into Ukrainian, delivering lecture (presentations or excursion) and writing annotations on these materials. Form of control – differentiated exam in the form of report defense. Bases for practices: Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music named after R. Glier, Confucius Institute, Kyiv National University. T. Shevchenko, Scientific Library named after M. Maksymovich KNU. T. Shevchenko.

Employment in the scientific, literary, publishing and educational sectors; in teaching positions in secondary education institutions (according to the elective block "Methodology of Teaching Ukrainian as a Foreign Language"); in the media; in various foundations, unions, humanitarian foundations, museums, art and cultural centers, etc. (according to the elective block "Ukrainian Language in a Linguistic and Cultural Aspect"); in various sectors of the economy where services for the creation, analysis, translation, and evaluation of texts are required.

Graduates can continue their studies at the second level university degree in the sphere of humanitarian sciences and education. Obtaining additional qualifications in the postgraduate education system.
