Specific admission requirements
The presence of a complete general secondary education or a junior bachelor's degree (junior specialist). Categories of persons subject to special conditions of participation in the competitive selection for higher education on the basis of complete general secondary education in accordance with the Rules for Admission to Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 2022.
Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning
Enrollment of foreign citizens is based on the results of entrance examinations in the specified subjects and the language of instruction and on the basis of academic rights to continue their studies, confirmed by a document on the level of education received in the country where it was provided.
Qualification requirements and regulations, including graduation requirements
Certification is carried out in the form of a unified state qualification examination STEP 1 and STEP 2, testing examination in professional English conducted by the Testing Center under the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and a practical (clinical) examination that evaluates the demonstration of practical (clinical) components of professional competence on a real object or a model and is carried out by an examination commission of a higher education institution.
Programme learning outcomes
1. To have thorough knowledge of the structure of professional activity. To be able to carry out professional activities that require updating and integration of knowledge. To be responsible for professional development, ability to further professional training with a high level of autonomy.
2. To understand and know basic and clinical biomedical sciences, at a level sufficient to solve professional problems in the field of health care.
3. Specialized conceptual knowledge, which includes scientific achievements in the field of health care and is the basis for research, critical thinking in the field of medicine and related interdisciplinary problems.
4. To determine and identify the main clinical symptoms and syndromes (according to list 1) according to standard methods, using preliminary data of the patient's anamnesis, data of the patient's examination, knowledge of the person, their organs and systems, to establish a preliminary clinical diagnosis of the disease (list 2).
5. To collect complaints, life history and disease, assess the psychomotor and physical development of the patient, the state of organs and systems of the body, based on the results of laboratory and instrumental studies to assess the information about the diagnosis (list 4), taking into account the patient's age.
6. To establish a final clinical diagnosis by making an informed decision and analysis of subjective and objective data of clinical, additional examination, differential diagnosis, adhering to relevant ethical and legal norms, under the supervision of a physician-manager in a health care institution (list 2).
7. To assign and analyze additional (mandatory and optional) methods of examination (laboratory, functional and / or instrumental) (list 4) of patients with diseases of organs and systems of the body for differential diagnosis of diseases (list 2).

Examination regulations and grading scale
Current and final control is carried out in the form of credits / differentiated credits and written or combined examinations, the qualification testing state examination Step and a practically oriented examination. The final assessment of learning outcomes is carried out according to the common 100-marks scale.

The purpose of the educational program is to train highly qualified specialists according to the program Medicine, who are able to use knowledge, skills and understanding to solve typical tasks of a doctor in the field of health care, to perform appropriate functions, to solve certain problems and tasks on the condition of mastering the system of skills and competencies determined by this program, and at the level of independent scientific creativity and search. The attainment of this objective is ensured by laboratory work in individual disciplines, specialized/profile laboratory and educational practice; conducting scientific work in the laboratories of the institute or research partner institutions in Ukraine and, in the exercise of the right to academic mobility, in leading educational or research institutions in other countries.

Access to further studies
A graduate in the program has to enroll in postgraduate education programs (internship, residency), where training is carried out in educational programs for the preparation of a doctor of a certain specialty, and can also enroll in a program to obtain the degree Doctor of Philosophy. In the future, specialists can undergo retraining and acquire another medical specialty and perform relevant professional work.
