Learning outcomes
Establish a final clinical diagnosis by making an informed decision and logical analysis of subjective and objective data of clinical (additional examination, differential diagnosis), adhering to relevant ethical and legal norms, under the supervision of a physician in a medical institution. Determine the nature and principles of treatment (conservative, operative) with diseases in a health care facility, at home and at the stages of medical evacuation, including in the field, on the basis of a preliminary clinical diagnosis, adhering to relevant ethical and legal norms, by making an informed decision on existing algorithms and standard schemes, if necessary to expand the standard scheme be able to justify personalized recommendations under the supervision of a doctor in a medical institution.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering by students of courses of pathomorphology, pathophysiology, biological and bioorganic chemistry, propaedeutics of internal medicine, pharmacology, neurology. Knowledge of theoretical foundations of medical chemistry, human anatomy and physiology, general and medical psychology.
Course content
Psychiatry is a branch of medicine that studies the etiology, pathogenesis, clinic, diagnosis, therapy and prevention of mental and behavioral disorders. Rehabilitation and social adaptation of persons with mental and behavioral disorders and the organization of psychiatric care are also subject to study. Psychiatry is a complex clinical specialty at the intersection of biology, psychology, sociology, medicine. The main tasks of psychiatry are: analysis of objective patterns that lead to mental disorders; development of therapeutic measures; analysis of the prognosis of a specific mental illness; development of preventive measures; study of individual mental disorders and their relationship with biological processes in the body; study of the mechanisms of higher human nervous activity; study of the influence of objective conditions of human life on the mental state and pathology; development of measures for the rehabilitation of persons with mental and behavioral disorders.
