Plan and implement a system of sanitary and preventive measures for the occurrence and spread of diseases among the population. Analyze the epidemiological situation and carry out measures of mass and individual, general and local prevention of infectious diseases. Organize the necessary level of individual safety (personal and carers) in case of typical dangerous situations in the individual field of activity. Determine the necessary mode of work and rest in the treatment of patients with the disease (according to list 2) in a health care facility, at the patient's home and at the stages of medical evacuation, including in the field, on the basis of a preliminary clinical diagnosis, adhering to the relevant ethical and legal norms, by making an informed decision according to existing algorithms and standard schemes.

The study of the discipline allows to generalize ideas about environmental factors based on their quantitative characteristics and patterns of impact on the human body, to form hygienic thinking - understanding the role of environmental factors and social living conditions in diseases, the ability to justify and implement preventive measures, control their effectiveness, forecast sanitary situation taking into account the immediate and separate perspectives of the country's development.
