Ability to use lexical and grammatical categories of modern Ukrainian literary language to develop optimal language behavior in the professional sphere. Possession of terminological vocabulary, skills of working with specialized dictionaries. Analysis of the expediency of using lexical, morphological, syntactic language tools in accordance with communicative intentions. Mastering the oral and written norms of speech etiquette in the professional activity of a doctor. Knowledge of genre features of public speaking. Ability to differentiate functional styles of modern Ukrainian literary language in general and distinctive features.

Full-time form

Have basic knowledge of the course "Ukrainian language" acquired at school. Be able to build a correct and logical statement, making it intonation in accordance with the content and conditions of communication. Have the skills to choose words and grammatical constructions during the construction of oral expression and text. Be able to work independently with scientific and scientific-methodical literature. Basic skills of system analysis, synthesis and generalization of information.

"Theory and practice of professional language communication" as a discipline lays the foundations of the professional language of physicians with further prospects for the use of acquired knowledge in professional activities; continues to develop language competence, communication skills of future professionals. The subject of the discipline is the basics of modern professional speech, medical terminology, rules for compiling professional documentation, the culture of scientific and professional Ukrainian language, the formation of skills and abilities in relevant professional speech activities.
