The program is aimed at foreign applicants for higher education.
Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning
First cycle of Higher Education (NQF Level 6 or higher). The enrollment is based on academic rights to continue education, as evidenced by a document on the level of education obtained in the country of origin. Competitive selection for the master's degree is based on the results of entrance examinations in: entrance examination in the language of instruction (Ukrainian Language) and entrance examination in the professional discipline.
Qualification requirements and regulations, including graduation requirements
A professional qualification may be awarded by a separate decision of the examination commission: Translator or Higher Education Lecturer (Ukrainian Language). Requirements and rules see in the description of the EP, paragraph 3.
Programme learning outcomes
PLO 1.To assess individual academic and scientificprofessional activity, to build and implement an effective strategy of self-development and professional selfimprovement.
PLO 2. To demonstrate a confident level of the state and foreign (English) languages mastery to perform written and spoken communication, namely in the situations of professional and scientific communication; to present the results of their studies in the the state and foreign languages.
PLO 3. To implement the modern methods and techniques, namely informational, in order to perform a successful and effective professional activity and guarantee the quality of research in the field of Ukrainian philology.
PLO 4. To assess and analyze critically the vital social, individual and professional issues and offer tactics of their solution in difficult and unpredictable conditions, which requires the application of new approaches and forecasting.
PLO 5. To find optimal ways of effective interaction in the professional community and with representatives of other professional groups at various levels.
PLO 6. To use knowledge on expressive, emotive, logical language means and speech techniques in order to achieve an intended pragmatic result and organize a successful communication.
PLO 7. To analyze, compare and classify various schools and approaches of Linguistics.
PLO 8. To assess the historical legacy and new achievements of Literary Studies.
PLO 9. To characterize theoretical (concepts, categories, principles, basic concepts, etc.) principles and practical aspects of a Ukrainian language and literature.
PLO 10. To collect and systematize facts of language and literature.
PLO 11. To perform a scholarly analysis of linguistic, speech and literary material, interpret and structure it considering efficient methodological principles, formulate summarizations based on the individually processed data.
PLO 12. To adhere to the academic integrity principles.
PLO 13. To explain the essence of specific linguistic issues and one’s own point of view and its justification to the experts and laypeople in an accessible and argumentative manner, in particular to individuals who are studying.
PLO 14. To create, analyze, and edit texts of various genres and styles.
PLO 15. To choose the optimal research approaches and methods of analysis for the specific linguistic and literary material.
PLO 16. To use specialized conceptual knowledge in a Ukrainian language, literature and Linguodidactics field to solve complex tasks and issues, which requires updates and integration of knowledge, often under conditions of incomplete/lacking information and contradictory requirements.
PLO 17. To plan, organize, perform and present the research and or innovative developments in a Ukrainian Philology field.
PLO 18. To present the results of one’s research to the academic community in academic publications or presentations at conferences, round tables, seminars, etc.
PLO 19. To value the diversity and multiculturalism of the world, and to apply modern principles of tolerance, dialogue, and cooperation in their (students) activities.
PLO 20. To organize the process of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language, taking into account psychological, pedagogical and methodological principles (according to the selective block "Ukrainian language in higher education institutions").
PLO 21. To translate (orally and in writing) texts of different genres and styles from Ukrainian into the native language and vice versa (according to the selective block "Practical translation for those who study Ukrainian as a foreign language").
PLO 22. To communicate effectively in Russian at the B1 level in the domestic, educational and social spheres (according to the selective block "The Russian language").

Examination regulations and grading scale
The final evaluation of learning outcomes at the University is carried out on a single 100-point scale. The assessment of the applicant corresponds to the ratio established of the level of professional and general competencies to the planned learning outcomes (as a percentage). The minimum positive level of assessment is 60 points. According to the results of exams, according to the results of course and diploma works (projects); based on the results of work in practice, the student is also graded on a 4-point scale: “Excellent”, “Good”, “Satisfactory”, “Unsatisfactory”. If the final exam is not conducted in the disciplines, the results of the applicant’s work are evaluated on a 2-point scale: “Passed” or “Fail”.

Work placement
Full-time Professional Internship is a mandatory component, has a research focus, lasts 6 weeks.
Internships that are components of elective blocks of disciplines are held with a break from theoretical training for 6 weeks: 1) Full-time Translation Internship (block "Practical translation for those who study Ukrainian as a foreign language"); 2) Full-time Professional Country Studies Internship (block "Russian language"); 3) Full-time Professional Pedagogical Internship (block "Ukrainian language in higher education institutions").
