Learning outcomes
PLO 4. To assess and analyze critically the vital social, individual and professional issues and offer tactics of their solution in difficult and unpredictable conditions, which requires the application of new approaches and forecasting. PLO 5. To find optimal ways of effective interaction in the professional community and with representatives of other professional groups at various levels. PLO 20. To organize the process of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language, taking into account psychological, pedagogical and methodological principles (according to the selective block "Ukrainian language in higher education institutions").
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
To have basic knowledge of the essential characteristics and basic principles of reality, human existence, and cognition. To be able to collect and interpret information; to identify current pedagogical problems and justify the principles and ways of solving them. To have a good level of Ukrainian language for studying scientific literature, listening to lectures and working in seminars, as well as basic skills in the use of modern information and communication technologies to solve professional problems.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to provide students with systematized knowledge, to form comprehensive competencies in the qualification of "teacher of a higher education institution", to develop pedagogical thinking and promote professional self-determination, to acquire a professional and pedagogical identity by master's students. The program of the discipline includes coverage of the main categories of higher education pedagogy, its principles, methods, and technologies. Particular attention is paid to the development of skills, skills of lectures, seminars, which is possible in the conditions of practical activity, which is fundamental to this course. Practical exercises, reflection and independent work of students in the form of a critical essay, creative work are of decisive importance.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Forms of study - lectures, seminars, independent work. Teaching methods - explanation of new material, active listening, analysis of lecture material, independent work with scientific literature, written assignments, oral answers, interaction with the teacher and classmates, solving pedagogical problems, didactic game.
Assessment methods and criteria
Oral response, presentation, practical tasks, creative work, critical essay, final test, exam. See the course syllabus for assessment criteria for each type of assignment.
