Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of general linguistics, philosophy and theoretical courses on the modern Ukrainian language. Successful mastering of the practical course of Ukrainian as a foreign language.
Course content
The discipline is included in the research component of the ЕP, contains three content modules. Module 1 forms an understanding of science as research, reveals the content of the following concepts: methodology and technology of scientific research, research hypothesis, scientific paradigm; introduces the main methods and directions of modern philological research. Module 2 reveals the role of intellectual property as intellectual capital in the socio-economic development of society and its place in humanitarian science, outlines the main forms and mechanisms of commercialization of the results of intellectual activity. Module 3 reveals the composition of a scientific research, the technology of a master's thesis and requirements for it.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Forms of teaching: lectures, seminar classes, independent work. Teaching methods: explanation of new material, active listening, participation in discussions, work in groups, discussion of results.
Assessment methods and criteria
