Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To demonstrate a confident level of the state and foreign (English) languages mastery to perform written and spoken communication, namely in the situations of professional and scientific communication; to present the results of their studies in the state and foreign languages. PLO 6. To use knowledge on expressive, emotive, logical language means and speech techniques in order to achieve an intended pragmatic result and organize a successful communication. PLO 13. To explain the essence of specific linguistic issues and one’s own point of view and its justification to the experts and laypeople in an accessible and argumentative manner, in particular to individuals who are studying. PLO 14. To create, analyze, and edit texts of various genres and styles.

Successful completion of the courses "Practical Course of Ukrainian. Professional level" (I sem.), "Practical course of Ukrainian language. Professional level" (II sem.).
Course content
The discipline deepens students' knowledge of the peculiarities of the lexical and phraseological, lexical and grammatical, and stylistic systems of the Ukrainian language, develops skills and abilities of integrated application of the acquired knowledge in various communicative situations. The course includes 1 module, which improves students' ability to produce coherent oral speech, distinguish between texts of different stylistic orientations, analyze, interpret, transform and compose secondary texts (annotation, abstract), and use elements of language etiquette.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Forms of study: practical classes, independent work. Teaching methods: explanation of new material, conversation, review of a classmate's answer, analysis of teaching materials, interactive methods (work in pairs, small groups), problem-based learning, exercises, analysis of text fragments, work on creating an essay, project, essay.
Assessment methods and criteria
