PLO 2. To demonstrate a confident level of the state and foreign (English) languages mastery to perform written and spoken communication, namely in the situations of professional and scientific communication; to present the results of their studies in the the state and foreign languages. PLO 6. To use knowledge on expressive, emotive, logical language means and speech techniques in order to achieve an intended pragmatic result and organize a successful communication. PLO 14. To create, analyze, and edit texts of various genres and styles. PLO 19. To value the diversity and multiculturalism of the world, and to apply modern principles of tolerance, dialogue, and cooperation in their (students) activities.

Full-time form

Students should be proficient in various aspects of the English language (know the basic spelling, grammar, lexical and stylistic norms of literary English; have reading, writing, listening and speaking skills at least at B2 level - first of all, have appropriate knowledge of practical and theoretical grammar and sufficient vocabulary).

The discipline focuses on the acquisition of educational and professional qualifications for professional activities related to the analysis of written and spoken texts, organization of successful communication in English. The program of the discipline provides for generalization/acquaintance of students with units of all levels of English in accordance with certain topics, spheres and situations of communication, in accordance with the orthographic, spelling, lexical, grammatical and stylistic norms of the English language; to develop receptive and productive speaking skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening); to form the ability to use English to obtain and transmit information, as well as the ability to interact with a communication partner in various situational and intercultural contexts.

Forms of study: practical classes, independent work. Teaching methods: explanation of new material, discussion, essay writing, independent work with the textbook, exercises, preparation for the colloquium and presentation defense.
