Professional qualification is awarded on the basis of professional mastery of competencies provided by the blocks of specialized disciplines and compliance with the minimum necessary criteria, namely: level of mastery of disciplines of the selected block of specialized disciplines with scores of at least 75 points exam in geophysics not less than 75 points, as well as the defense of qualifying work with a score of not less than 75 points

-Ability to analyze the features of natural and anthropogenic systems and the Earth's hydrosphere objects -Ability to apply the received knowledge to identify and solve problems and make well-founded decisions in the field of hydrogeology, engineering geology and environmental geology -Be able to communicate with experts of different levels in other fields of knowledge, including in the international context, in the global information environment -Ability to develop and manage projects in the field of hydrogeology, engineering geology and ecological geology, to evaluate and ensure the quality of work -Having skills in planning and carrying out scientific experiments, writing scientific papers on the specialty -Be able to carry out environmental assessment, audit, licensing, certification of natural resources use, to predict the development of environmental, technological, economic and social consequences at individual objects of environmental management, related to the field of hydrogeology and engineering geology -Knowing modern methods of the geological environment and underground hydrosphere research and being able to apply them in manufacturing and research activities -Knowing the basic management principles of enterprises in the field of environmental management, their organization, manufacturing and organizational management structure -Ability to develop and implement the mechanisms of territorial management, geoplanning, providing monitoring of regional development, making plans and programs -Demonstrate the abilities to adapt and act in a new situations related to work within the specialty and to generate new ideas in the field of Earth sciences -Using educational technologies and methods of subject material teaching in the field of hydrogeology, engineering geology and environmental geology in educational institutions

Examination regulations and grading scale
The final evaluation of learning outcomes at the University is carried out on a single 100-point scale. The assessment of the applicant corresponds to the ratio established of the level of professional and general competencies to the planned learning outcomes (as a percentage). The minimum positive level of assessment is 60 points. According to the results of exams, according to the results of course and diploma works (projects); based on the results of work in practice, the student is also graded on a four-point scale: “Excellent” (90 – 100%), “Good” (75 – 89%), “Satisfactory” (60 – 74%), “Unsatisfactory” (0 – 59%). If the final exam is not conducted in the disciplines, the results of the applicant’s work are evaluated on a 2-point scale: “Passed” (60 – 100%) or “Fail” (0 – 59%).

Passing of an assistant practice lasting three weeks, undergraduate practice in the specialty at the enterprise lasting at least 5 weeks, research workshop in the specialty lasting a total of 6 weeks
